Autumn has arrived at Barmoor!!

Published by on 14th November 2019

Well we can’t quite believe that Summer 2019 has been and gone, but the glorious Autumnal colours are flooding the park in a beautiful mix of vibrant reds, oranges, yellows and gold, it looks stunning, especially the drive down from the main gates through the Lime Avenue Orchard.

The Summer has been a busy one for all of the team at Barmoor Castle with the completion and opening of our new development Moor Croft, we’ve welcomed lots of lovely new owners to the park and are down to our last few remaining pitches.

The Parklands has had a very exciting delivery, the incredible Lissett Alaska Lodge. Quite different to our usual style of lodge, it has been designed by Linda Barker and feels like you’ve stepped into hunting lodge in the snow-driven wilds of the Arctic. Viewing is highly recommended.

Have you seen the Italian Sand Stone Chess pieces? Another new addition to Barmoor this Summer. This stone was reclaimed by Jamie from a local Railway Bridge which he then had hand carved by Mike Viaene of Roluna Stone into these magnificent sculptures, they are now placed around The parklands and Moor Croft as focal points.

Hedley Hall has also become the real heart & hub of the park over the Summer months, having been opened for little over a year now we (everyone at Barmoor) have made great use of it. Charity events have seen all of you raise an incredible amount of money for local charities, while the Yoga, Photography Club, Homeopathy Talks, Quiz Night and other groups arranged by you have helped new friendships form and new hobbies blossom. We’ve also held some very special celebrations in the hall, birthdays, wedding anniversaries and other family events.  This is exactly what our vision was when we built this building and we couldn’t be happier seeing it being used for so many wonderful events.  Now we are thinking forward to 2020 events and we would love to have your ideas of what we can do next year to put in the diary for you all.  Please feel free to call in and let us hear them or send us an email with a list!

We look forward to seeing you all soon.

Ann, Jamie, Jodi, Freddie and the Barmoor Team xx
